Microblading and brow tattoo removal,
done carefully.

Brows sit right at the center of your face, so a shape or color you don't love is hard to ignore. Whether you want them gone or just lighter for a redo, the plan starts with a careful look at the pigment.

In Short

Microblading and eyebrow tattoo removal lightens or removes cosmetic brow pigment that faded unevenly, changed color or no longer suits you. Brow pigments can darken when treated, so PSRx patch tests first. Removal usually takes several sessions spaced weeks apart, and your provider plans it around your pigment and skin at consultation.

What We See

Why people remove
brow tattoos.

Most brow removals start with one of these. Knowing yours helps your provider plan the right approach.

Color shift
Brow pigment can turn red, orange, gray or blue as it fades. This is common with older microblading and often the main reason people want it lightened or removed.
Shape you've outgrown
Brow trends change, and a shape that looked right years ago may not suit you now. Removal or lightening gives you a cleaner start for a new look.
Uneven or blurred work
Strokes that spread, blurred over time or healed unevenly can be lightened so the brows look softer and more balanced, or cleared before a correction.
Lightening before a redo
Many people want brows lighter, not gone, so their artist can rework them. Lightening can give a cleaner base with less old pigment showing through.

Cosmetic brow pigments can turn darker when treated, so a patch test always comes first.

Screening First

We look closely
before we treat.

Before brow removal, your provider looks at the pigment and the skin around it.

What we check
✦How old the brow work is and how many times it was done
✦The pigment colors showing now
✦Any past removal attempts, including saline or other methods
✦Your skin type and healing history
✦A patch test to see how the pigment responds
When we refer you to a physician
→Signs of infection or an allergic reaction in the brow area
→Skin changes that need a physician's evaluation first
Melanin-Safe Care

Tattoo removal on darker skin
needs a careful plan.

  • ✦Patch testing for brow pigments that can darken.
  • ✦Sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart so your skin recovers fully.
  • ✦Your plan is set at consultation after your provider examines your skin and ink.
  • ✦We train and certify other providers in laser care for Fitzpatrick I–VI.
Your Options

Options for your brows,
chosen at consultation.

Your provider examines your brows and decides which options fit at consultation.

Precise Pico
Precise Pico is the tattoo removal laser available at PSRx. It breaks ink into tiny particles your body clears over time. Whether it fits your tattoo and skin is decided at consultation.
Patch testing
A small test area shows how your brow pigment reacts before the whole brow is treated. It's a key safety step, because some cosmetic pigments darken before they lighten. Your provider reviews the test area before planning more.
Lightening for a redo
If you plan to have your brows redone, lightening may take fewer sessions than full removal. Your provider talks through timing with you and your artist at consultation. Bring your artist's plans if you have them.
Advanced Color Analysis
At your consultation, your provider uses our in-office analysis to review your ink colors, size and location and estimate how many sessions your plan may take, so you know what to expect.

04

Common Questions

Eyebrow & Microblading Removal FAQ.

Can microblading be removed?

Yes, microblading can usually be lightened or removed with laser over a series of sessions. Because microblading sits close to the surface, it may clear faster than a body tattoo, but every brow is different. Your provider patch tests first and estimates your number of sessions at consultation.

Why did my microblading turn red or orange?

Many brow pigments contain iron oxides and other colors that fade at different rates. As the brown fades, warmer red or orange tones can show through. Laser can lighten these tones, and a patch test shows how your pigment will respond before full treatment begins.

Will my eyebrow hair fall out?

Brow hairs can lighten or thin for a short time after laser, but they usually grow back. Your provider talks through this risk at consultation and plans treatment to protect your natural brows as much as possible. If you notice changes, tell us at your next visit.

Can I just lighten my brows instead of removing them?

Yes. Many people lighten their brows so an artist can redo them with less old pigment showing through. Lightening often takes fewer sessions than full removal. Tell us your plans at consultation so we can time your sessions around your artist.

Is brow tattoo removal safe on dark skin?

Yes, when it's planned for your skin type. Darker skin can lighten or darken if removal is too aggressive, so sessions are paced and spaced to let your skin recover. PSRx specializes in laser care for melanin-rich skin and patch tests cosmetic pigment first.

Does brow tattoo removal hurt?

Most people describe it as a quick snapping feeling. Sessions on the brows are short, and your provider talks through ways to keep you comfortable. The area may feel warm, look red or swell a little for a day or two afterward.
